| Since 1993 when I first started Cowboy Action Shooting®, I have tried several types of grips on my revolvers and have settled on one brand and style which I believe is the very best. I use and recommend the Eagle Grips checkered rosewood 'Gunfighter Grips'. These grips work very well for small or large hands. They are slim in design and enable the shooter to grip firmly with all fingers of the hand. Stock wood grips tend to be too thick, stag grips too inconsistent as well as too thick. Other types of checkered wood grips have been too thick and too tapered. The Eagle 'Gunfighter Grips', are very well designed with minimum taper from top to bottom and are very thin which translates to very little slippage or gun movement in the hand. We stock the checkered rosewood "Gunfighter Grips" but can special order any of the styles in the Eagle Grips line. |
