The Cimarron new 1873 Model 'P' is the ultimate single action Army revolver. There are none other that have the authentic features of the 1873 Model 'P'. Our new 1873 Model 'P' is not a copy of a 3rd or 4th generation but an exact copy of early 1st generation SAAs. As with most of our line of firearms we have purchased tooling, or paid extra, to make the Cimarron the most authentic and highest quality SAA on the market. Many dealers will try to convince you that the brand they are selling is the same as a Cimarron. This is not true. The gun they sell may be made by our manufacturer but there is a difference in either finish, quality, or authenticity. The Cimarron 1873 Model 'P' features an early Colt style hammer with early heavy knurling for a better thumb grip, no safety is visible in the hammer, grip frame is sized to fit actual Colt hard rubber replacement grips. Cimarron custom hard rubber 'boss of the plains' grips also are available. Features include early 2-line patent dates on frame. Serial number placement as on early Colts, parts interchange with the originals, barrel markings are sized to look like Colt, and more. No others go to the trouble to bring you this degree of detailed authenticity. Internal parts in the Cimarron Model 1873 'P' are properly hardened and hand fit by gunmakers that have worked on guns all their lives. Actions are tuned to 3lb trigger pull; internal working surfaces of parts are polished.
